We landed in France at 6:45, but didn't get to our hotel until 11:00! Why? We realized when dragged our bags out of the underground we didn't know where a taxi stand was located. We roamed around that area, which happened to be by the Tuileries Gardens (but we didn't know) dragging our huge-mougous suitcases (4 of them) and knocking over the cafe tables set out on the sidewalks looking for one. After about 30 minutes we found one, this is where maybe the French locales were cursing us Americans!
By the time we got to the hotel, we were barely cognizant but happy 1- reception spoke english ("Parlez-vous anglais? High Five!) and 2- they let us have a room!
When we finally recovered some what we walked around and found this some dinner at a local cafe.
Here are more photos.

Wait...let me get this straight. You guys wandered around Paris for 3 hours and 15 minutes before you got to the hotel? That's ridiculous! Did you accidentally walk through a looking glass and get lost in an alternate universe? I hear that happens in Europe all the time...
We got off the train from the airport, which took around 40 min and then wandered around for another 30-40 minutes looking for a taxi stand. Meanwhile Dad had all that baggage to wheel around and the sidewalks are not very large, especially when you put little cafe tables out!
We're lucky we didn't wander around more!
